Exploring the Galaxy - Week 3

1 Almost there.. The Cat's Paw Nebula is getting awfully big outside that windshield.	2 Maximum warp to the Nebula.	3 Harmony...	4 My ship heads into red space.
5 We are in the Nebula, and yes, we have a few jump options.	6 Checking my distance to "home". So now I'm almost 5,500 light years away from Sol.	7 And the galactic map... I have travelled from one spiral "arm" to the next one.	8 Yes, it's very red in there.
9 Reeeally red..	10 Contrastic colors here with a shiny icy ring, dark planet and that red space.	11 Well... it's not exactly camouflaged..	12 Colorful.
13 Transparent ring with a Nebula backdrop.	14 Space art.	15 Hmm, weird orbits ahead..	16 Nebula ends here...
17 Milky way backdrop and Nebula blend together...	18 Full speed ahead...	19 Well lookie here.. If it isn't another "Earth"...	20 Here you go: the Sector name.
21 I want atmosperic landing in this game!	22 Sunrize...	23 Screenshot got some weird tearing in the rings, but the view is nice.	24 Yes, space can be cosy.
25 Cool as hell?	26	27 Another one of those big stars. I'm 275 ls away from it in this shot.	28 I see a pale blue dot.
29 Another system with plenty of bodies.	30 Another big ring for me to explore...	31 From here it looks like a giant CD/DVD.	32 Lets go all in, big rings, Nebula, Milky Way, ship.. oh yea...
33 Moody stuff..	34 More rings, and one more up to the left..	35 Getting hot here...	36 Not running out of sunlight here ;-)
37 Here: grab the system name...	38 Would be cool to stay for a while and study the motion..	39 Eat this Tatooine and your 2 suns...	40 Unfortunately, I don't see any planets.
41 Another interesting alignement..	42 Why isnt my ship Solar powered?	43 Second star to the right then straight on until morning...	44 Well.. don't I wish the Horizons expansions with it's planetary landing was available when I was here.
45 More star clusters.. and another Nebula..	46 Ye ok, let's go to that Nebula.. And the star cluster seems to be in front of it...	47 Finally some black space ;-)	48 Hello handsome..
49 Look at that cluster, looks fairly big.	50 Sometimes you find a star that puts you on a little detour. But we always hope to discover something new and exciting.	51 Alas, not the first one to get there..	52 Lagoon Nebula, here we come!

57 Ok leaving the Nebula, lets set a course for that bright cluster.	58 Icy world with weird colors in the background.	59 Nice view. Unusual rings on that planet.	60 Very transparent rings..

77 Sometimes you have to ask yourself the question.. Where the hell am I?	78 The Ice-man commeth...	79 Hey, who's flying the ship, anyway?	80 So many tornados and no one there to appreciate them.
81 It's not as bad as it looks.	82 When you get too near the planets, the clouds start to look a bit funky.	83 Shouldn't this planet type be easily terra-formable?	84 When you visit a 1000 systems you start picking your targets more carefully. Ringed gas giants are usually worth the effort though..

89 Original Elite solar system generator made a dual star system here.	90 IMHO, to fully explore a system like this takes far more time and effort that it's worth.	91 Another IRL catalogue star out here. Usually means it's big and bright.	92 Ah yes, fuel scoop active when 103ls away. It's not a small star.
93 Time to get nerdy, buit is that info really accurate. This star is 11,5 billion years old, apparently in the process of growing to a giant...	94 680ls away, still looks big.	95 There's always room for my ship.	96 In some future update of ED, it would be cool if you couldfly down into one of those storms.

101 Blue ball with rings..	102 After my 11,000 ly round trip, this was the first sign that I'm getting back to colonized space.	103 Aaaah yes, System names in bold letters.. I'm back!	104 First station I see in a month or so. Time to sell some hard earned trade data...
